The review journal Arbitrium was founded in 1983 by Wolfgang Harms and Wolfgang Frühwald. From the outset, its aim was to provide orientation and set milestones in view of the constantly growing number of scientific publications - by means of differentiated presentation, well-founded critical assessment and reflected classification.
